It’s only been a month since this piece, looking at what national names are headed to Utah. But here we are again, news continues to land. As an addendum then, here are several more brands that have confirmed their intent to expand their operations in Utah.
Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay
It’s been nearly two years since news broke about this big name targeting Utah. An update finally came out this week confirming that the franchise has inked a deal with local operators. As part of the deal, nine locations of the Bobby Flay-backed brand are expected to debut in Utah.
Flay’s signature burgers are made with Angus beef and grilled to either medium or well done. Served on brioche, other options for your bun also include chicken breast or a veggie patty. Various configs include the likes of fried eggs, potato chips, and tomato chipotle salsa. Fries are cooked to order, shakes can be found on the dessert side of things, and mornings also feature a specialized breakfast menu.
Nick The Greek
Who doesn’t love a good gyro? This guy for sure. QSR Mag again has the news about the impending expansion of this Californian brand in Utah. Founded in 2014, five locations are anticipated to arrive in the Beehive – presumably joining an existing outpost in St. George. The menu touches on plenty of familiar bases for fans of local Greek fast-casuals, the likes of souvlaki and beefteki – as well as gyro carved directly from the rotisserie.
Fatburger / Round Table Pizza
Another West Coast chain headed our way, hoping to launch a combined dozen locations of these two popular Californian names. The septuagenarian Fatburger brings hearty burger builds to the table, with constructions like the XXXL Kingburger weighing in at a colossal 1.5lbs. Not enough? Additional toppings include fried eggs, chili, bacon, onion rings, and more.
Part of the same parent company, Round Table Pizza are joining them on the trip East, bringing with them Arthurian inspiration to a menu of pies. Names like the King Arthur supreme, Montague’s all meat marvel, and Guinevere’s garden delight head up the menu.
The Milkshake Factory
KSL recently shared this story on the arrival of the Pittsburgh-borne milkshake brand. The Pleasant Grove opening is the solitary Utah opening so far but as part of the KSL story, owner Micah Keith hopes to open more.
7 Brew
Rounding out this latest list of incoming brands, 7 Brew, plotting to deliver the first Utah location to Provo in September. Here’s the full press release from the company, announcing their arrival:
. . .
More than your standard coffee stand, 7 Brew offers a wide variety of unique drink combinations. From the original Blondie, a caramel and vanilla breve, to 7 Energy, smoothies, shakes and teas, there is something for everyone at 7 Brew. The brand boasts more than 240 stands across the country.
“We are excited to bring 7 Brew’s energy and mission of cultivating kindness to Utah and plan on opening many more stands in the future,” said Aaron Hall, director of operations for Encore 7 Brew. “The Garden City is an exciting place to grow, and we can’t wait to serve the Provo community their daily dose of energy.”
The 7 Brew Provo stand will add 50 jobs to the area and plans to open in September.

Hi, I’m Stuart, nice to meet you! I’m the founder, writer and wrangler at Gastronomic SLC. I’m a multiple-award winning journalist and have written in myopic detail about the Salt Lake City dining scene for the better part of seventeen years.
I’ve worked extensively with multiple local publications from Visit Salt Lake to Salt Lake Magazine, not least helped to consult on national TV. Pause those credits, yep, that’s me! I’m also a former restaurant critic of more than five years, working for the Salt Lake Tribune. I’m largely fueled by a critical obsession with rice, alliteration and the use of big words I don’t understand.
