Salt Lake Brewing Co
March is “guilt free dessert” month at the celebrated Utah brewer. Every restaurant in the group’s portfolio picks a non-profit that is special to their team; for $6.00, a guest can purchase a black and tan brownie and feel great about doing so, with 100% of the sales going to the non-profit in question.
Nicholas & Co. donates the ingredients with Salt Lake Brewing Co. matching the donation to the non-profit of the restaurant that sells the most. Prizes are also awarded to top-selling servers at each location too. A full list of the locations and causes supported include:
- Squatters Pub Brewery Downtown Salt Lake City – Boys and Girls Club of Utah
- Wasatch Brew Pub Sugar House Salt Lake- Taylor Hagen Memorial Foundation

Urban Hill
Recipient of this year’s outstanding restaurant award by Salt Lake Magazine has a new special hitting the table this month. The “tableside s’mores” arrive with all the fixings right at your tabletop – enough to create six delicious s’mores. To enhance the experience, the restaurant has also partnered with Solo Stove and Hedley and Bennet to present and perfectly roast the marshmallows. This dessert experience is priced at $22.
Scion Cider
One of Utah’s most unique bars has now updated its hours to include Monday. This is particularly notable as the Central 9th cider bar now makes a perfect venue to enjoy Central 9th Market’s Monday burger special. For the uninitiated, the weekly special at C9M is one of the most hotly anticipated popups on the weekly dining calendar. Each Monday the market/cafe crafts a concise menu of burgers, considered by some as the best burger in town. The only catch is that the business offers no indoor seating.
The new Monday opening hours means you can enjoy this weekly special at both Scion and Water Witch around the corner. A word of warning, the lines form quickly for this one, and the business routinely sells out. Get there early.
Kona Grill
With March madness in mind, the Riverton recent arrival has a new grab-and-go option, available from March 19th, to Monday, April 8th.
The game on sliders & sides package features 12 KG sliders accompanied by sides of mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and fries – priced at $59. A sushi variation offers an assortment of Kona Grill’s signature sushi, priced at $69.

Hi, I’m Stuart, nice to meet you! I’m the founder, writer and wrangler at Gastronomic SLC. I’m a multiple-award winning journalist and have written in myopic detail about the Salt Lake City dining scene for the better part of seventeen years.
I’ve worked extensively with multiple local publications from Visit Salt Lake to Salt Lake Magazine, not least helped to consult on national TV. Pause those credits, yep, that’s me! I’m also a former restaurant critic of more than five years, working for the Salt Lake Tribune. I’m largely fueled by a critical obsession with rice, alliteration and the use of big words I don’t understand. What they’re saying about me: “Not inaccurate”, “I thought he was older”, “I don’t share his feelings”.
